Holly Bauer

Holly Bauer accepted the call to serve as the Ascension's new Youth Director beginning August 1, 2011.

Holly is a cradle Episcopalian and spent most of her youth in the Diocese of Georgia where she was actively involved in diocesan, provincial, and national youth events. She served as a youth commission member and female representative for the Diocese of Georgia at the Province IV Network Meeting for two years each. During high school, she attended the Province IV Episcopal Youth Event and National Episcopal Youth Event in Burea, Kentucky, which exposed her to the regional, national and international church.

After graduating high school in 2007, Holly enrolled as a fourth generation student at Birmingham-Southern College where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and minor study in Religion. While at 'Southern she became involved with campus ministries through Trinity Commons Episcopal Student Center. In 2010 she took a year long internship with Fr. Bill Blackerby at Trinity Commons. Through her internship, Fr. Bill helped her to realize her call to youth ministry. She is excited to be a part of the Church of the Ascension family and to see the way God works through her and the youth of Ascension to build a serving community.

• First Sunday of Every Month: 7:30 pm -Compline - chanted (with music).
• Third Sunday of Every Month: 5:00 pm - Evening Eucharist (chancel-informal-come as you are)
• Monday-Friday: 8:00 am - Morning Prayer (chapel).
• Tuesday: 8:00 am - Choral Morning Prayer (chancel).
• Wednesday: 6:00 pm - Holy Eucharist, Rite II (chapel).
