Facilities
Throughout the years of changing landscape at the Church of the Ascension and through several expansions and renovations, the church building has maintained its magnificent Gothic structure to the glory of God. In addition to our beautiful sanctuary, we enjoy equally glorious spaces providing for a chapel, library, parish hall, memorial gardens and a columbarium.
The most recent construction project financed by the 1997 capital campaign was completed in 2000. The 3-story addition to the church building includes new offices, larger classrooms, a children's library, and a children's chapel with a puppet theater. The freestanding youth facility-the Joshua House-has a large recreational room, classrooms, a lounge, and a kitchen. Bathrooms with showers can accommodate overnight programs.
Located in Montgomery's historic Garden District, Ascension is committed to sharing our parish facilities with our community. We encourage use of our facilities by a number of community and service groups representing a wide range of interests and concerns.
