The Rev. Charles C. (Chris) Starr
Father Chris Starr and his wife of 33 years, Kathy Wright-Starr, a retired school teacher, have one daughter, Anna, who is married to Steve Puerta.
Their son Grayson was born May 9th of 2017.
Chris recently completed 17 months as Interim Rector at St. James Church in Greeneville, Tennessee. Prior to this assignment he was Rector
of Church of the Atonement in Sandy Springs, Georgia from 2008 to 2015. He had also served at Atonement as an Associate Rector from 1993 to 2000.
Chris was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1980. Following his resignation as Catholic priest he undertook a career as a strategic
planning and fund raising consultant and executive positions with The National Kidney Foundation of Georgia and the Henry W. Grady
Foundation at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was received as an Episcopal priest by Atlanta Bishop Frank Allan in December 1993. He has served on the Diocesan Stewardship
Commission and the Hispanic Ministries Commission, both in the Diocese of Atlanta.
